We finally had our Wedding!

So the countdown has gone down to the final day. We finally had our Wedding! It went off almost without a hitch. The only real hitches happened the Friday before the wedding when one of bridesmaids had to emergency babysit and couldn't make it to the rehearsal and another bridesmaid was late getting there but by the time she got there we hadn't really started any of it so that was good. Not everybody who we wanted to show up showed up by any means. Some people who I thought would never miss it did and that hurt a little but in the end it was ok. We survived the planning process and everything was good. The groomsmen destroyed our truck with shaving cream....toilet paper...and of all things parfaits from McDonald's.
We finally got the ceremony I know we deserved. My dad walked me down the aisle and his grandaddy was his best man. My sister, bro-in-law, and nephew all made it up from GA and it was awesome.
The moment Brandon saw me walking down the aisle he began to cry and then when Itsaw him cry I started to cry too. I am a complete and total emotional wreck...lol.

Our Wedding....It's in 10 days!!!

So once again I will have to apologize for how bad of a blogger I am...part of it is because we do not have internet at home. A lot of stuff has happened also in the past few months.
Well the last time I blogged we were living in an apartment in town and Brandon worked about five minutes if that far from the apartment. Well now we live in a new town (same county) because its cheaper on rent and its in the country...plus it is closer to Brandon's job now. He now works with a machining company from NJ.

We moved in the end of May and then plans also started crashing down for the wedding. We were told that we couldn't get married in our church if we continued living together. Needless to say apparently people are still making the assumptions that if you are a man and a woman you can't live together and just be living together. So after about a week of crying and talking me and Brandon decided to go to the courthouse and get legally married just so we could please everybody else.

So we now are having our wedding at our church in 10 days....I can count all those days on a matter of two hands. It's unbelievable. My dress is being altered...the cake is being made....my decorations are being completed....I can't believe that we are so close to walking down the aisle and FINALLY getting something how we want it....not exactly how it should have been but it works.

Brandon is the most amazing and fantastic man on this planet. He can put up with my emotional breakdowns and everything that we go through somehow we remain optimistic. I am not saying we don't have our breakdown's together but we make it through. I have been lucky enough to be with him for two years now. I can't believe it. We will have many many many more together. This is each of our first and last marriages as far as we are concerned. I am such a lucky girl!

I am a HORRIBLE Blogger!

So let me start by saying that I am sorry for any readers that have been so patiently waiting for an update. I feel so bad that I haven't been on here to update lately but in my defense the only computers that I have been able to get to have been school computers which do not allow usage for anything but school work so sorry.

Anyways, where to begin. Well I got my wedding dress!!!! One of my close friends and her husband decided that as their wedding gift to me and Brandon they wanted to get me the wedding dress that I fell in love with...so they are pretty amazing. As far as the rest of the wedding stuff is concerned we now have the church set for the ceremony and we will have it set for the reception closer to time. We also have all of our bridesmaid and groomsmen picked out.

When I was picking out the bridesmaid dress I found one that I fell in love with in the color I wanted but found out it was discontinued so I chose a different color scheme and a different dress. The bridesmaid dress is Apple red and all the colors for flowers and such are deep reds and oranges and yellows just like fall. I think it will be pretty.

Also I had somebody doing my hair but some stuff went on last night and I do not believe that she will be doing my hair anymore because she has some of her own demons to deal with.

So closing this before I ramble on forever if anybody knows somebody who can do photography or catering for cheap please let me know. Thank you guys sooooo much....and I promise I will talk to you soon!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sorry it's been a while since we have posted anything on here but its been kinda crazy! We have to get internet access whenever we can. Well our first Christmas in the apartment was pretty good. We got us a Christmas tree and a Wii for Christmas. We also went over to our friend's house for Christmas eve and that was fun...we were there until almost midnight.
On Christmas day we went down to Brandon's family down close to Topsail Beach and that was fun too. We ate way too much but it was worth it!
We also made a decision. Our original wedding date was set for June 18 2011. Well we have been debating whether to move it up to be sooner or not. The reason why is because we orginally wanted it to be in 2011 was that way I would be out of school before we got married...well since I won't be out by then anymore we wanted to move it closer. So we wanted to move it to June 2010. Now we are moving it to our official date...September 25, 2010.
This is a good date we feel because it gives us plenty of time to plan. We don't want anything big and extravagant just us and a couple of bridesmaids and groomsmen and a small inexpensive reception. So there its official September 25, 2010...SAVE THE DATE~~~~!

It's November!

It's been a while since I last updated this blog...sorry. I haven't had time and neither has Brandon to be honest. We have had a busy past month or so.
Brandon and I were out helping out on a family friend's farm called Lazy-O-Farm which is an educational farm where kids get to learn all about the animals and pick a pumpkin out of the pumpkin patch, and go in a maze. They always seem to have a blast. We had fun but now that their busy season is over with there isn't much need for too much help out there.
During the process of working on the farm Brandon was job hunting and......HE FOUND A JOB!!! So he is no longer unemployed...yay!!!! As for me, I am still in classes and I am still unemployed....oh well.
I also had the chance in mid October to go wedding dress looking with my little, bethany. I found the perfect dress but I still have a year and 7 months or so before the wedding at least as far as I know right now so hopefully I will find one that I love just as much in this time. Right now we still are not able to save any money for a wedding but we will...I have faith.....you got to right?

As soon as I get new pics of me and Brandon I will be sure to post them but for now I must say bye because I need to go to class.

It's almost been a year...~Still loving it~

So let me say that this whole month has been crazy! Moving back from working down at Caswell, moving into a new apartment, starting a new college, and trying to stay sane....that's a job in it's self. But anyways I bet you all are wondering what my title for this blog is all about. Well today is September 18,2009.....in ten days it will be September 28, 2009 that means that it has been a year since me and Brandon became official. That doesn't really seem like a big deal to a lot of people but it is to us.
It's weird to think that just over a year ago was the first date that I went on with Brandon bowling. And I am not going to lie I wasn't really sure at that point if anything was really going to happen between us but it did. I can't imagine life without him in it now which I still can't believe. And knowing that in a year and 8 months or so we will be getting married...of all things.Who would have ever thought that? certainly not me.lol.
But anyways this has been a good year with many more to come. We are still in the process of organizing and moving stuff into the apartment but its still really nice to be able to kick back in our own place whether its messy or not or sparsely furnished but hey what more do I need I got my man to keep me laughing...which believe me he does.
It's been a year...wow!!!

Ours!

So I have been meaning to update this for a while now but now I finally got around to it. I am finally home and spending every moment that I possibly can with the most amazing man in the world. It's about time!
When I got back in town the thursday after Brandon picked me up from Caswell we moved into our apartment.....that's right our apartment. Just the two of us. We have been there for 2.5 weeks now and we love every minute of it. Given we barely have anything unpacked because we don't have my dressers for clothes or anything yet but hey who cares. We have our own place...finally.
We live in the same county as we did before because I have to go to school at the community college but we get to start making our place our home. Some people think that we should get married before we move in together but we are doing things our way and we know that in the end our lives will be better for it.
